Oldevatn Camping is located in an enchantingly beautiful area with waterfalls, glaciers and impressive mountains. A number of camping pitches are located directly on the clear blue water of the Oldevatnet lake. Wherever you are on the campsite, the view is equally beautiful. The campsite has various types of cabins for 5 – 6 people. With and without private sanitary facilities. The location of the campsite is perfect for hiking and fishing, but of course also for visiting the nearby Briksdal Glacier.

Surroundings of Olden and Oldedalen

The surroundings of Oldevatn Camping are very impressive and very popular with nature lovers, hikers and sports enthusiasts. For example, the spectacular Via Ferrata Loen is only 17km. away. Accessible via the Loen Skylift which takes you to the top of the mountain Hoven in 6 minutes. A restaurant is located at the top and from the terrace you have a truly magnificent view. The village of Olden – where cruise ships arrive daily – is also easy to reach and is 10km. away. The valley of Olden, or Oldedalen, is 22km. long and is characterized by the Oldevatnet (lake) where several waterfalls come out.

At Oldevatn Camping

Oldevatn Camping has excellent sanitary facilities, a large playground, a recreation room with TV, free WIFI, a barbecue area and the location directly on the Oldevatnet lake offers various water sports options. You can enjoy canoeing, SUPing, swimming and fishing. Oldevatn Camping offers free use of bicycles, canoes, rowing boats and pedal boats. Briksdal Glacier and Jostedalsbreen

The Briksdal Glacier - an offshoot of the Jostedalsbreen (the largest glacier in Europe) – is at only 12km. distance of the camping. Easily accessible by car. But also by public transport, because the bus stops at the campsite. Very handy. Tip: a bike ride along the beautiful Oldevatnet is highly recommended.

Central location between the Sognefjord and the Geirangerfjord

Due to its central location between the Sognefjord and the Geirangerfjord, Oldevatn Camping is also ideal for a longer stay. The area surrounding the campsite (near the Nordfjord) has plenty to offer. There are beautiful day trips to make. For example to the Stryn Summer Ski area, the Geirangerfjord or the beautiful surroundings at Selje on the west coast.
