Sandefjord is perhaps best known for its whaling history. For a long time, it was THE whaling capital of the world. Another tip: Bjerggata – one of the oldest and best-preserved residential neighborhoods in Sandefjord – is definitely worth a visit. The beautiful wooden craftsmen's cottages with small gardens and courtyards are a feast for the eyes.
