The Vinje Family has been running their well-kept campsite for many years. And you can see that. There is a lot of attention for the facilities and they are really there for their guests. The sanitary has been nicely renewed in recent years and at the reception people are happy to inform you about the walking routes and possibilities in the area.

At Vinje Camping

In addition to the camping pitches, Vinje Camping has nice cabins (with a great view!) And pods, small wooden houses. A number with a nice porch. Very popular. The campsite has excellent sanitary facilities, there is a nice playground with a trampoline, a grill place under an overhanging rock (sort of a small cave) and there are a few goats jumping around. And whether that is not enough, the campsite is surrounded by impressive mountains.

Geiranger

Geiranger is one of the top destinations in Norway and that is especially true in the high season. Not only do many campers visit Geiranger and the beautiful Geirangerfjord, but also several cruise ships arrive in the fjord every day. If you are flexible, try to visit Geiranger outside the high season. Much calmer. Both in Geiranger and on the campsite itself. Vinje Camping is open from mid-May to the end of September. The campsite is also within walking distance of the center of Geiranger with various shops, restaurants and a supermarket.
