Badebåden Østerøy: by boat to Grimstad

Most campsites in Grimstad are quite far from the center. Of course you can visit the town by (electric) bicycle or by car, but by boat is just that little bit more special. With the beautiful Badebåden Østerøy (also called Beach Boat Østerøy):

you sail past countless islands, bays and beaches to the port of Grimstad. You can get on at Marivold Camping, among others. A return ticket costs NOK 175 (adults, price 2023) and NOK 75 for children aged 5 – 15 years. Ticket includes a visit to the Maritime Museum in Grimstad. Please note that the boat only operates in the month of July.

Things to do in Grimstad

Often found in narrow streets and cozy alleys. Visit the Maritime Museum or experience the history of the famous poets/writers Henrik Ibsen and Knut Hamsun. Do you prefer to go out by bike? You can rent bicycles at the Grimstad Tourist Office. Very useful!
