Svensby Tursenter in Svensby near Tromso in the Troms region

If you are on your way from Tromso to the North Cape or vice versa, take the route via Svensby. Especially if you sign up for the ferry discount card, you can save a lot of travel costs. And the route is also very beautiful. From Tromso you drive in 45 minutes to the harbor of Breivikeidet. There you take the ferry to Svensby. If you travel on to the North Cape you can take the ferry to Olderdalen (E6) in Lyngseidet (25 minutes drive). Svensby Tursenter offers sufficient camping pitches for tents, caravans or motorhomes, but also has 5 beautiful cabins.

On Svensby Tursenter

Svensby Tursenter is centrally located in the beautiful Lyngen area. The campsite is located directly on the fjord and both the camping pitches and the cabins are on different terraces so that everyone can enjoy the view. The tent pitches are located directly along the river in a car-free area. The campsite has a cozy bar (with a beautiful view), free WIFI, a sauna, good sanitary facilities, a nice grillhouse, a small playground, there are boats for rent and you can go fishing, cycling and walking.

Snowmobile safari, dog sledding safari and boat rental

At Svensby Tursenter they are all about outdoor activities. In the summer you can take beautiful walks or rent a boat. For example to go fishing. Or just to see the area from a different perspective (from the water). In winter Svensby Tursenter organizes snowmobile safaris and dog sledding safaris. An unforgettable experience!

Northern Lights and visit Tromso

The surroundings of Svensby Tursenter and the Troms region in general are known for having a good view of the Northern Lights in many places. Most campsites in the Tromso area are designed for this and are therefore open all year round. More and more interested people come all the way to the north by camper in winter, but Tromso also has an airport and there is a good connection to Svensby Tursenter. You can immediately visit the cozy center of Tromso and of course the beautiful Ice Cathedral.
