And run by young, enthusiastic owners who do everything they can to take the best possible care of their guests. At Alteidet Camping Burfjord
The central focal point at Alteidet Camping Burfjord is the cozy kiosk where, in addition to a cup of coffee or a soft drink, you can also enjoy the impressive view outside on the terrace with a tasty ice cream. The camping pitches are located partly on gravel and partly on grass. In addition to camping pitches, Alteidet Camping Burfjord features a large and cozy holiday home (on the campsite), suitable for 6 people. The sanitary facilities are good.
Location of Alteidet Camping Burfjord
Alteidet Camping Burfjord is located approximately 10km. north of the village of Burfjord, where you will find a number of shops, a gas station and a supermarket. The campsite is situated along the E6 and is an ideal place to stay overnight if you are on your way to the North Cape, or if you are heading south towards Norway. Notably, many campers visit the campsite on both the outward and return journeys. That speaks volumes….
Stunning surroundings
The surroundings of Alteidet Camping Burfjord are beautiful. You can go canoeing or SUPing on the fjord. And in the immediate vicinity, you can take beautiful hikes. For instance, the Jokelfjordbreen glacier (the other side of the glacier is called Oksfjordjokelen) is well worth a visit. The glacier is a fifteen-minute drive from the campsite. In addition, a hike on Kvaenangsfjellet and Laslettind is highly recommended.
Beautiful location on the North Cape Route
Alteidet Camping Burfjord is situated directly along the E6, approximately 75km. from Alta, also known as the City of the Northern Lights. Alta is – certainly by Norwegian standards – a reasonably large town and for many campers, the last stop before continuing on to the North Cape. From Alteidet Camping Burfjord, it is another 310km. to the North Cape.
