If you are looking for a campsite near Trondheim, then Trasavika Camping is a must. Beautifully situated on the Trondheimfjord. Because of the various terraces on the campsite you usually have a nice view. Also from the veranda of most hytter you have a beautiful view over the fjord.

Visit Trondheim

Trasavika Camping is about 36km away from the center of Trondheim. There are no campsites in Trondheim itself, but there is plenty of choice outside Trondheim. Then why choose Trasavika Camping? Quiet location, right on the fjord and the bus stop is right outside the door. After about 45 minutes you will be dropped at the giant Nidaros Cathedral. Tip: Inform yourself - before you go into town - how long the waiting time is for a guided tour. Further recommended in Trondheim: the old Old Town Bridge and the Stiftsgarden (Royal Residence).

At Trasavika Camping

The camping pitches at Trasavika Camping are situated on a small field and on a number of terraces. Despite the small size of the campsite, Trasavika Camping has a good number of hytter, from standard to luxury. The sanitair is well cared for. There is free WIFI. At the reception annex TV room, annex kiosk is a nice terrace, where you can enjoy your drink and the sunset.

Swimming, beach and fishing

Trasavika Camping has a nice little sandy beach. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view while your children are playing. You can swim in the fjord, but also fish. If you want to fish for salmon, then the Orkla River (5km.) is the perfect spot.

Location directly on the fjord near Trondheim

Trasavika Camping is a cozy campsite just outside the town of Viggja, which is easiest to reach by taking the exit on the E39 at Viggja. The shops (including a number of supermarkets) are about 2 km. from the camping. The campsite is ideally located if you are traveling from Trondheim towards Alesund, Molde or Kristiansund (or vice versa).
