Storen Camping

Storen Camping

Campsite located directly on the "salmon" river Gaula within bike - walking distance of the village of Storen on the E6. Excellent hiking and fishing opportunities in the area. Free WIFI.

Storen Camping in Storen in the Sor Trondelag region

Small campsite located directly on the Gaula river. The Gaula is one of the best "salmon" rivers in Norway, no less than 145 km. long and attracts anglers from all over Europe. The campsite is just outside the village of Storen, which is located directly on the E6. The campsite can therefore also serve as a transit camp. The campsite is approximately 50 km. away south of Trondheim. In Storen you will find a number of shops, a gas station, a roadside restaurant and 2 supermarkets. Storen camping has a small number of cabins in addition to the camping pitches. Free WIFI is available at the campsite.

At Storen Camping

Storen Camping is a small campsite with various camping fields. The campsite has a small number of cabins, simple but well-maintained sanitary facilities, free WIFI, a small playground and is an excellent place for the annually returning anglers. Not so strange of course with a location directly on the river Gaula. The impressive surroundings are great for taking walks and or cycling trips.

Salmon river Gaula

With a location directly on the salmon river Gaula, Storen Camping attracts anglers from various countries in Europe to the Gaul Valley every year. The Gaula River was chosen as the best salmon river in Norway in 2005 and since then its popularity has only increased. The river is no less than 145km. long. At the river there is a nice grill place (covered) and at the reception there are not only fish items for sale, you can - after weighing the caught salmon - also read or note the weights.

Visit Trondheim and Roros

Storen lies approx. 50km. south of Trondheim along the E6. The beautiful city of Trondheim is therefore easily accessible by car, but Storen also has a bus and train station. A visit to Trondheim can also be done with public transport. The old mining town of Roros (approx. 100km.) can also be reached by bus and train from Storen.

Location between Oppdal / Roros and Trondheim

If you are traveling by car or motorhome from Oslo to Trondheim, you can of course easily take the E6. Certainly the part between Dombas and Oppdal is very worthwhile, but pretty mountainous. And so some people - especially in winter conditions - prefer to drive via the "3". You then drive via Hamar along Rena, Koppang, Alvdal and Kvikne in the direction of Storen. It doesn\'t really matter in terms of time and distance. A good alternative. At Tynset you could also drive over Roros towards Storen.
