Austre Bokn Camping in Bokn in the Rogaland region
Austre Bokn Camping was recently taken over by the Maeland Family and they are renovating the campsite nicely. New (gravel) pitches have been created directly on the water and there are beautiful grass pitches available for tents. The sanitary facilities have been renewed and expanded and everything looks well cared for. The location is of course beautiful: right on the sea. Would you like to get on the water? That is possible, boats and canoes are rented at Austre Bokn Camping.
At Austre Bokn Camping
Due to its location directly on the sea, there are good swimming and water sports opportunities. You will find a beach near the campsite. If you have your own SUP board, it is of course wonderful to go out on the water in the evening. Austre Bokn Camping also has boats and canoes for rent. The campsite has free WIFI. There is a camper service area. A supermarket can be found 2km. away of the camping. Ice cream is sold at the campsite itself.
Visit Preikestolen, Stavanger and Haugesund, “homeland of the Viking kings”
There are good hiking opportunities in the immediate area, but a visit to the Preikestolen (2 hours\\' drive) is also possible. Stavanger is an hour\\'s drive away (including crossing). You should definitely visit Gamle Stavanger, the old town. Haugesund is just over half an hour\\'s drive away. From Haugesund you can take a short trip to Skudeneshavn, one of the best preserved old towns in Norway. With no fewer than 225 wooden houses, all painted white, a feast for the eyes!
Excellent location by the sea near the E39 between Stavanger and Haugesund
If you are traveling along the west coast of Norway and follow the E39, you will find Austre Bokn Camping about an 8-minute drive from Arsvagen harbour. You arrive here by ferry from Mortavika (north of Stavanger). From Austre Bokn Camping it is just over half an hour to the center of Haugesund. The campsite is therefore ideally located between Stavanger and Haugesund.
