Vennesund Camping in Somna in the Nordland region

Since 2018, Vennesund Camping has a new sanitary building with large family bathrooms. In addition, the cabins on the campsite has been renovated and, in addition to the "grass camping pitches", a number of paved pitches (with additional power connections) have been realized. Handy in bad weather. The campsite has free WIFI and the restaurant (Brygge) at the campsite is very popular. From the terrace at the restaurant you have a wonderful view of the sea and the ferries coming into the harbour.

If you travel by ferry from the south (from Holm) towards Vennesund, you will see the rorbuer and the beautiful Brygge (restaurant) immediately on arrival at the port of Vennesund. The campsite is right on the water and you can stand directly on the water with your tent, caravan or motorhome. What a wonderful place and what a view!

Great fishing place, boats for rent

The owner of Vennesund Camping has boats for rent and the campsite is right on the sea. Plenty of opportunities to catch a fish. You can of course throw it back into the sea, but a fish on the barbecue is also a good idea. There is a fish cleaning place on the campsite and there are freezers available if you have caught too much fish in one time. But even if you are not a fisherman, you can of course rent a boat and view the beautiful coast from the sea. Well worth it!

Location between Namsos and Bronnoysund

Vennesund Camping is located on the RV17 or the Kystriksveien, one of the most beautiful coastal routes on the Atlantic Coast. If you follow the route from south to north, the campsite is in the arrival port of the 1st ferry crossing. Very handy. On this beautiful route you will cross the ferry 6 times in total. The route is also very popular for campers by bicycle. Along the RV17 you will find various campsites and other places to stay.
