Mo i Rana Camping is a well-kept campsite where you can still "just" camp on the grass. Also directly along the river Revelaga. Very favorite place for tent campers. If you come with the camper and the weather is a bit less good, then the paved places are ideal. The campsite is spacious and there is always a nice place to be found.

Mo i Rana is a modern place with many facilities, shops, covered shopping malls, gas stations and supermarkets. The center and the supermarkets are easily accessible by bike from Mo i Rana Camping. What many people don't know is that Mo i Rana is actually by the sea. Because the Ranfjorden runs all the way to Mo i Rana. Quite strange when you see how far the place is from the open sea.

Hiking, nature Saltfjellet

You can go hiking in the immediate surroundings of Mo i Rana Camping, but the Saltfjellet is the highlight. Literally and figuratively, because it is one of the largest mountainareas in Norway with snow in many places that does not disappear even in the summer. Not surprising, because the peaks are around 1.700 meters. In this area you will also find the Svartisen glacier, the second largest glacier in Norway after the Jostedalsbreen. And there is another fun fact: the Polar Circle also runs through the Saltfjellet.

Location between Trondheim and Narvik on the E6

For many campers, Mo i Rana Camping is a regular stop on the way to the Lofoten, Vesteralen or the North Cape. Not so crazy because of the central location. Mo i Rana is at 477km. distance from Trondheim and at 424km. distance from Narvik. Because of the good facilities at Mo i Rana Camping, many campers also visit the campsite on the way back.
