Namsos Camping

Very well maintained campsite with both paved and grassy pitches, beautiful cabins and excellent sanitary facilities. Nice location on a lake. Good fishing and swimming opportunities.

Namsos Camping in Namsos in the Nord Trondelag region

Namsos Camping is less than 5km. away from the center of Namsos. Definitely worth a visit. In Namsos you will find various shops and restaurants, but also Oasen Namsos, a swimming pool which is situated in the rocks of Namsos. If you lie in the pool you have the idea that you are swimming in a huge cave. Namsos Camping is located near a small airport where a plane takes off / lands a few times a day. No night flights. And the campsite is right on a lake with a beach. You can fish for salmon in the nearby river Namsen.

At Namsos Camping

The campsite has both paved and grassy pitches and various types of cabins. The campsite looks very well cared for and the sanitary facilities are also good. There is a large recreationroom where you can stay in bad weather, there is a mini golf course, a nice barbecue area and a nice playground. The playground is renovated in 2022 and expanded with a zipline.

Canoes, pedal boats and go-karts for rent

Are you active or are you looking for an activity for the children, then there are several options at Namsos Camping. You can rent canoes and pedal boats, for example, and the children will enjoy the go-karts.

Namsosbanen, bicycles over rails

The railroad track at Namsos is no longer used, at least not for trains, so you can now cycle along the route with special 3-wheel bikes. Very popular. You can either cycle to the center of Namsos, or a longer route along rivers, across bridges enjoying the beautiful nature around Namsos Camping.

Kystriksveien

Namsos Camping is located on the Kystriksveien, one of the most beautiful coastal roads on the Atlantic Coast. On this beautiful route you will travel 6 times in total by ferry. The route is also very popular for campers by bicycle. Along the Kystriksveien you will find various campsites. Namsos Camping is situated at the beginning of the route at about 75km. from Steinkjer and a little less than 200km. from Trondheim.
