Hauganfjaera Camping is in a wonderfully quiet spot on the Frosta peninsula. Far away from the crowds? Then take the exit to Frosta between Trondheim and Steinkjer and choose a nice spot on the water at Hauganfjaera Camping. If the visibility is good, you can see Trondheim across the fjord. The sanitary facilities at the campsite are excellent. Nice big family bathrooms! A number of apartments can be rented at the campsite. Environment is perfect for cycling and walking trips. From the campsite you can take a beautiful bike ride (30 km) over Frosta.

What to do at Hauganfjaera Camping Frosta

At Hauganfjaera Camping Frosta the feeling of space dominates. The campsite is spacious and the same applies to the facilities. There is a nice mini-golf course, a sports and playing field, a playground, free WIFI, a camping shop, a pizzeria, a snack bar, a nice grill area and you can buy fresh bread in the morning. There are good fishing opportunities in the vicinity of the campsite. Tip: The area around Frosta is often called Trondheims Køkkenhage in Norwegian because of the many farms where you can buy vegetables such as lettuce, carrots, leeks and cauliflower in the nice "farm shops".

Walk and cycle on the Frosta peninsula and visit Maria Monastery Tautra

The immediate surroundings of Hauganfjaera Camping Frosta are perfect for making wonderful walks and beautiful bike rides. Inquire at the reception of the campsite about the 30km. long bike ride which you can take over the Frosta peninsula. You will also pass the beautifully situated Maria Monastery on the island of Tautra. The small island can be reached via a bridge and a dike. Very nice!

Hauganfjaera Camping is just a 20-minute drive from the E6. So ... if you want to spend the night in a wonderfully quiet place on your way from Trondheim to the Kystriksveien, Vesteralen, the Lofoten or to the North Cape, then Hauganfjaera Camping is THE perfect place to stay.
