Saltkjelsnes Camping is a well-maintained campsite in a beautiful location. The campsite is located on a peninsula and wherever you are, you always have a beautiful view of the impressive surroundings. Nice centrally located between Molde and Andalsnes.The campsite is very popular with anglers. Not surprising of course, the campsite is surrounded by water. The camping pitches are often located directly on the water. Also part of the cabins is located directly on the Rødvenfjord.
At Saltkjelsnes Camping
The camping pitches at Saltkjelsnes Camping are spread over the camping site. Most are right on the water. Sometimes on grass, sometimes on gravel/asphalt. Also a number of cabins are located directly on the fjord. There are both simple cabins and luxury cabins with kitchen and private bathroom to book. For a stay of a week or longer, an 8% discount is given on the cabins and 10% on the camping pitch (excl. persons/electricity). Because Saltkjelsnes Camping is directly on the fjord, you can enjoy swimming (beach) and there are various water sports options.
Fishing, walking and cycling
Due to its location, Saltkjelsnes Camping is very popular with anglers. The campsite rents out different types of boats and there is a nice fish cleaning area. All kinds of fishing equipment such as fishing rods, fishing line and hooks are for sale at the reception. The immediate vicinity of the campsite is very suitable for beautiful cycling trips (for example to the nice stave church of Rødven) and pleasant walks. The owner is happy to help you with the routes. The campsite also rents out electric bicycles.
Located between Molde and Andalsnes
Saltkjelsnes Camping is just over an hour's drive from the pretty town of Molde. The port of Afarnes – where the ferry to Solsnes departs – is only 10km. away. The distance to Andalsnes is 22km. Day trips to the rose town of Molde, the nice fishing village of Bud, the spectacular Atlanterhavsvegen, the beautiful city of Alesund, the Trollstigen and Geiranger are easy to do from Saltkjelsnes Camping.
