In Jotunheimen National Park, you will find the highest mountains in Norway. And the park is enormous, covering an area of 3.500 km². With a peak of 2,469 meters, Galdhopiggen is the highest mountain in Norway and very popular with hikers. Central location between Otta and Lom
If you are traveling from Oslo towards, for example, the Sognefjord or the Geirangerfjord, Smedsmo Camping Vaga is an ideal place to stay overnight. The campsite is located just under a 4-hour drive from Oslo, between Otta and Lom. In Lom, you can take the beautiful “55” over the Sognefjellet towards the Sognefjord or follow the “15” towards Stryn or Geiranger.
