A very well maintained campsite with excellent toilet facilities and a great location at the foot of the Jotunheimen. Directly from the campsite you can take beautiful walks and bike rides.
Randsverk Camping in Tessanden in the Innlandet region (Oppland)
Randsverk Camping is a very well maintained campsite with enthusiastic owners. The campsite is located in an exceptionally beautiful area at the foot of the Jotunheimen and also along one of the 18 National Turistvegen in Norway. Beautiful walks and cycling trips can be made from the campsite. Maps (via GPS) are available at the campsite. The sanitary facilities are of very good quality (new 2014). There is also a supermarket and a café-restaurant at the campsite. Super handy.
At Randsverk Camping
The campsite has good sanitary facilities with beautiful family bathrooms and a large kitchen that can be used by guests. The view from the camping pitches and the cabins is great. At the campsite you will also find various sports and play facilities, there is a recreation room and the many lakes and rivers in the area are excellent for fishing. Fishing permits are available at the reception of Randsverk Camping. If you are a bit more adventurous, you can go rafting on the nearby river Sjoa.
Walks and bike rides on GPS in the Jotunheimen
Before the high season arrives, the owners of Randsverk Camping register most hiking and cycling tours on GPS. These maps with all the information and height differences can be uploaded to your own telephone, but can also be viewed on the website of the campsite. Mountain bikes and electric bikes are available for rent at Randsverk Camping.
Visit Rondane, Dovrefjell and Jotunheimen National Park
Near Randsverk Camping you will find 3 National Parks: Rondane, Dovrefjell and Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark is home to the highest mountains in Norway and has an area of no less than 3.500km2. The highest mountains are the Besseggen (1.743 meters), the Glittertind (2.464 meters) and the Galdhopiggen (2.469 meters). The Galdhopiggen is Norway's highest mountain and very popular with hikers. The top can be reached in 4 hours and from the top of Galdhopiggen you have a breathtaking view of the beautiful surroundings.
Located on the National Tourist Road “51” from Lom to Fagernes
Randsverk Camping is located directly on the National Tourist Road "51" which runs from Lom/Vaga to Fagernes. A beautiful route over the Valdresflye which takes you to an altitude of 1.389 meters. It is therefore not surprising that you still see a lot of snow here in summer. In addition, large herds of reindeer graze in the area, so if you are lucky….
