Fjellsyn Camping in Dalholen, Folldal in the Innlandet (Hedmark) region

Fjellsyn Camping is close to the Rondane and Dovrefjell National Parks. Within walking distance of a supermarket in the center of the village of Dalholen in the municipality of Folldal. The campsite is located behind a petrol station and is very spacious. Cabins for 4 and 7 people can be rented at Fjellsyn Camping and some have been beautifully renovated. The campsite is open all year round and because Fjellsyn Skitrekk is located within walking distance of the campsite, you can also use Fjellsyn Camping as a base for winter sports.

At Fjellsyn Camping

At the campsite you will find various camping fields for tents, caravans and motorhomes. All pitches are situated on grass. The sanitary facilities are simple, but are well maintained. There is a new motorhome service area, a barbecue area and no fewer than 20 cabins for rent. Most with kitchen and bathroom. Some have been recently renovated.

On arrival you will be welcomed by the friendly owners Grethe and Lars Dundrud. The Dundrud family has been running Fjellsyn Camping since 1961 and a lot of attention is paid to both the guests and the campsite. They are also happy to tell you more about the good fishing and hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity of the campsite.

Rondane National Park and Dovrefjell National Park

Fjellsyn Camping is located in the immediate vicinity of 2 large National Parks: Rondane and Dovrefjell. Rondane National Park is the oldest park in Norway and has no fewer than 10 mountains that are higher than 2.000 meters. The highest mountain is Rondeslottet with 2.178 meters. Dovrefjell National Park is particularly known for the presence of the mighty musk oxen. Musk ox safaris can be booked from various places. The park features a wide variety of nature. High mountains (such as the Snohetta, 2.286 meters), interspersed with nice lakes and spectacular waterfalls. A beautiful area for hiking.

Located between the “3” and the E6 at Hjerkinn

The campsite is centrally located on the “29” which runs from Hjerkinn (E6, between Dombas and Oppdal) to Alvdal (“3”). Ideal if you are in transit to, for example, Roros or the Swedish border. Because of the beautiful surroundings and the beautiful view, many campers choose to stay 1 or a few extra nights.
