Kilefjorden Camping in Hornnes near Evje in the Aust-Agder region
This pleasant, very quietly located campsite is located on the river Otra and has a small beach. You can make canoe trips on the river and you can fish well. Several places are located directly on the water. What a wonderful view! Cozy places under the trees, sunny places on the lawn or comfort places on the camper gravel plateau, there is something for everyone. There are also hammocks for rent for those who want to spend the night in an adventurous way. In addition to the camping pitches, there are various cabins for rent, each with their own charm, ranging in size from 2 to 6 people.
At Kilefjorden Camping
At Kilefjorden Camping you can go to the kiosk for a delicious (soft) ice cream or freshly ground bean coffee and fresh bread rolls are baked to order in the morning. Since 2019, Kilefjorden Camping has a new sanitary building. There is also a small playground, free WIFI and you can light a fire in the grill hut. The immediate area is ideal for walks and / or cycling trips for which various routes are available at the kiosk. The Otra is very suitable for fishing. You can rent a canoe, rowing boat or pedal boat at the campsite. And because the campsite is open all year round ... also very suitable for a winter sports holiday. Spotting moose
Kilefjorden Camping is located in the beautiful Setesdal. Occasionally a moose walks across the campsite. The enthusiastic campsite owners are happy to tell you about the so-called 'moose safari', a (car) route where moose are regularly spotted. There are several pairs of ospreys that return to the area every year to breed. If you are lucky you can spot them as they dive into the water to catch fish. There are also beavers close to the campsite.
Activities in the area
There are many activities to do in the immediate vicinity of Kilefjorden Camping. You can go white water rafting, there are various climbing forests, an aqua park, bicycle park, paintball, laser tag and a go-kart track. (Rib) boat trips are regularly organized from the campsite, where you can indicate whether you want to (learn to) fish, spot wildlife, or take a sightseeing tour through the area. For the experienced climber, there is a rock climbing wall within walking distance of the campsite where you can climb independently.

Kilefjorden Camping is a 50-minute drive from Kristiansand harbour, making it the perfect place if you're arriving in Norway by ferry. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so many campers choose to visit Kilefjorden Camping again when their camping holiday in Norway has come to an end and they take the ferry in Kristiansand back to the Netherlands or Denmark.
