A number of camping pitches are located directly by the river Drammenselva, one of the best salmon rivers in Norway.

However, due to the size of the campsite, there are also many facilities. At Hokksund Camping you will find a cozy restaurant, a kiosk, a marina, a small beach, a large playground with jumping pillow, a sports field and excellent sanitary facilities. Vikersundbakken, the largest ski flying jump in the world
During your stay at Hokksund Camping, you should definitely pay a visit to Vikersundbakken, the largest ski flying jump in the world. Ski flying is the same as ski jumping, but because ski flying involves jumping/flowing from a larger jump (225 meters), the sport is more extreme than ski jumping. The world record (253.5 meters) is also set at Vikersundbakken. The 5 jumps of Vikersundbakken are only 22km. away from the campsite and from the top you have a beautiful view of the area.
Surroundings Hokksund Camping
The surroundings of Hokksund Camping are very beautiful and well suited for beautiful walks or bike rides. The center of Hokksund is within walking distance, but a visit to Drammen, a little further away, is also recommended. From Hokksund you can also make beautiful day trips to Honefoss (55km.), Oslo (65km.) and Tonsberg (70km.), the oldest city in Norway. Beautifully situated on the Oslofjord.

Hokksund Camping is located near the E134 between Drammen and Kongsberg at only 65km. distance from Oslo. And so Hokksund Camping is a perfect place to stay if you have just arrived in Oslo by ferry or if are travelling into Europe from Oslo. Hokksund Camping is also within easy reach from the ports of Sandefjord (100km.), Larvik (110km.) and Langesund (140km.).
