Large campsite with many facilities located on a river within walking / cycling distance of the pleasant center of Gol. Great sanitary. Good restaurant.

Gol Campingsenter in Gol in the Viken (Buskerud) region

Gol Campingsenter is open all year round and therefore a great place if you come to Norway for winter sports. In Gol and in (nearby) Al and Geilo you can go skiing, cross-country skiing or snowboarding. In the summer you can probably find a nice spot on this large campsite. The sanitair is well cared for. (beautiful family bathrooms!) And on the campsite you can rent various types of cabins and apartments.

At Gol Campingsenter

Please inquire on arrival what is the best place for you to stay. The campsite consists of 2 parts. There is a playground in the area near the reception, but the other playgrounds and swimming pool are on the other side of the road (accessible via a tunnel). If you are just traveling together with the 2 of you, a spot near the river (Hallingdalselva) is recommended. You can also do great fishing here! Let’s put it on the barbecue. Nothing caught? No problem, the campsite has a great restaurant.

Swimming pool, playground and Stave Church Gol

Your children will not be bored at Gol Campingsenter. Because the campsite has a large outdoor swimming pool (not for free) with spectacular slide and various sports and games facilities. The Stave Church of Gol is also worth a visit. You can walk very well near the campsite. Other tips in the area: Langedrag Dyrepark and Bjorneparken in Fla, the 2 largest animal parks in the Viken (Buskerud) region.

Location 2.5 hours from Oslo

For many campers, Gol Campingsenter is the 1st stop when they have arrived by ferry in Oslo. Via the - renewed - RV7 it takes 2.5 hours to get to Gol. After Gol you can continue towards the mighty Sognedal, towards Hardangervidda, or to tourist attractions such as Flam and Geiranger. Don't forget the beautiful valleys in Loen and Olden!
